New Paint Colors

I paint by adding thin wash layers of acrylic paint to watercolor paper. I build up texture and colors that are exciting to me. I’m trying fluorescent acrylic paint for the first time.

Testing… testing 1, 2, 3.

I’m interested to see how the fluorescents layer as a base color.

Sometimes you just have to play around to discover new ways of making art. This is a mixed media piece using the new colors and a variety of techniques. Such as using found objects to print on the paper, drawing with ink, and scraping paint with a palette knife.
